At the end of January 2016, several members of the Whittlesea Historical Society were invited to attend the display at the Whittlesea Shire Offices of a cross section of the Fay Thomas Archival Collection.

Heritage Coordinator , Colleen Lazenby in conjunction with the Executors of Faye Thomas presented a mixture of photographs, letters, maps and actual ledgers dating from 1860.

The archives related to the Moses Thomas Family who lived at their homestead named Mayfield Farm in Mernda.

Faye Thomas. a descendant of Moses has accumulated an extensive collection of material.

The Executors had given the Council the opportunity to scan, photograph and copy images and documents. This data will be made available and on display in the Mill Park Library later this year.

The entire collection however is being given to the State Library for heritage digitisation and storage.
